Classic contemporary

I'm not a formal person....impossible to be with 3 big dogs and country living (at least for me).So it goes without saying that my house does not look like above, but that doesn't stop me from admiring pretty more stately decor. Images from the book New Classic Interiors by Alessandra Branca.

Artist: Karen Ingram

Brooklyn based illustrator/artist Karen Ingram has a lovely and intriguing portfolio.The third from the top is titled "tsavo-lion + throttling grip" and is inspired by vicious attacks  of maneless lions on humans in Tsavo, Kenya ( read more about that here) .She has thus far made a series of 11 postcards with limited editions of 500, free for the asking to visitors at her site.As of this writing the top 3 were still available . I imagine they go fast.
