After discovering these wonderful mixed media collages by Sarah Ogren I had to resist the urge to grab scissors and paper and try this myself.I'm sure this is way beyond my capabilities, but I love all the different elements she incorporates into her pieces.It just looks so fun to do but perhaps for now I'll just sit back and admire.Visit her etsy shop or blog for more.

Cross Stitch Parade

 Upon seeing this remarkable variety of work portrayed on flickr yet another urge came over me.This time to try cross stitch.It seems to lend itself to so many applications...one can create pieces that are sewable, frameable, wearable and just plain admirable.However, with serious limitations on my free time I think for now I'll just continue to craft vicariously through this blog.(sigh)
