Artist: Holly Farrell

I've been very remiss in not posting about Holly Farrell sooner.I apologize.I've admired her work for quite some  time now and mistakenly thought I had posted on her.She is without doubt one of my favourite artists. Holly is Canadian and self-taught and she works with acrylics and oils on masonite to create wonderfully spare still lifes of items from the past. Her paintings are exacting and crisp and I adore her choice of subject matter. More here.

A Color Frame of Mind

I have had such cravings for color and flora.Today I bought some pansies and violets in deep blue hues along with primroses in vivid pinks and reds....my first foray of the season into the garden store and it felt so good.
