Vladimir Gvozdariki

I love the work of multi-talented Russian artist Vladimir Gvozdariki. He has so many different styles and works in a variety of media, all of which are truly masterful. His range of talent  encompasses steampunkish reptilians , masterly still-lifes, "museums" of collected ephemera and intricate dolls and sculptures. Found via Bibliodyssey.

Carolyn Quartermaine

This is not my first post on Carolyn Quartermaine.I guess you could say I am infatuated, and just a tiny bit jealous.As a fledgling textile/ surface designer, I stand in awe of her boldly unique style......using beautiful serpentine calligraphy ( I love typography) in a repeating pattern is just pure ingenuity. No surprise that she was the recipient of designer of the year at Maison et Objets 2008.
