Wood and Wool Stools

These cute little stools are made by Ingrid, a Dutch designer who started her company in 2008 after getting many inquiries about the stool she had made for herself out of recycled wood with a crochet cover. She has since been featured in Elle Interior Norway and has made many many stools since. Wood and Wool also makes pretty crochet shawls, garlands, blankets and more. See more here.

My house is very old (dating back to 1750's) with the requisite low ceilings from that era.One big drawback : the inability to safely hang pendant or chandelier lights without creating an obstacle course with risk of head injury or loss of an eye. These beauties were all found on flickr, my favorite site to troll for decor ideas. The last little chandelier is made from ice! The perfect finishing touch for your igloo......
