Today is Thanksgiving here in the US. I will be busy cooking (we're trying the turkey on the BBQ this year) and, hopefully, eventually, eating and enjoying with friends. These lovely shots by Tria Giovan are for you to enjoy until my return next Monday.Happy Turkey Day!
These interior images from Skona Hem have me written all over them...I love wide plank floors, rustic white washed furniture with touches of floral and lace.Yum....
There's something so utterly calming about the images from this wonderful book, Simple Home by Mark and Sally Bailey.Just as the name implies, the rooms have been pared down to the essentials only punctuated with time worn pieces which are allowed to stand out against mostly unadorned walls.
I find the style of mix-media artist Michael Cutlip so unique.....I think graffiti/ collage/indian all mixed together with a dash of whimsy and a lovely layered use of color and pattern.
I really admire the style of Jules Arthur...In addition to his ability to paint beautifully realistic portraits, the incorporation of wood textures and other media gives his pieces additional interest and silhouetting parts of his images is a wonderfully contemporary touch.
I came across this fabulous house while browsing the files of a photography/stylist/location agency in London called Oak Management. They just don't make houses like this anymore.....gorgeous moldings, stained glass and high ceilings.I believe this style is known as French Empire.More here.
