I've always thought of burlap as the silly putty of interior decor (and crafts, fashion etc). Unlimited versatility and a nubby, organic texture make this an ideal base for embellishment...or not. Love the skirts in the window and I can never get enough of those grain sack pillows.

Artist: Jonas Rooth
Eccentrically ornate glass chandeliers and sconces by Swedish artist Jonas Rooth up for consideration today. According to his site he has worked at Orrefors and Kosta Boda which seems evident in his florid and variegated style. These wouldn't work in my informal country home, but they sure are fun to look at.
