Alphonse Mucha was a Czech painter and illustrator who essentially created the art nouveau style.He was famous for portraying young beautiful women with flowing robes and hair, often with "halos" behind them.I love his use of paler colors and symmetry of detail in some of his works.All these images I found on a wonderful site by
